Description:

Long, upward-curving rostrum with 5 upper teeth, no lower teeth, first three pairs of walking legs end in pincers. Last two pairs of walking legs are extremely elongate. Coloration may vary between brown/tan, slight red/pink, or a slightly translucent white/yellow. First carapace segment overlaps second.

Adults Distinguishing Characteristics:

The Seabob Shrimp lacks dorsal grooves unlike the Brown and Pink Shrimp which have dorsal grooves behind the rostrum and on the last tail segment. Compared to the Seabob Shrimp, the White Shrimp has a proportionally shorter and less upwardly curved rostrum which features teeth on both the top and underside.
