Gelatinous, transparent, cube-shaped body with palmate (hand-like) appendages at the of each bottom corner.
Each hand has 7-8 'fingers' with stinging tentacles coming from it. The outside bell has clear 'spots' or knobs on it.

Warm, open seas but it is sometimes found inshore in large numbers when conditions are correct (e.g., high salinity)
