Four-handed Box Jellyfish
Chiropsalmus quadrumanus

Description:

Gelatinous, transparent, cube-shaped body with palmate (hand-like) appendages at the of each bottom corner. Each hand has 7-8 'fingers' with stinging tentacles coming from it. The outside bell has clear 'spots' or knobs on it.

Habitat:

Warm, open seas but it is sometimes found inshore in large numbers when conditions are correct (e.g., high salinity)
